Send an email to hold Google accountable for breaking the law
One year ago, the European Commission ruled that Google had broken EU law by abusing its power over online advertising.
Since then, Google remains unpunished, raking in an estimated €288 million every single day from Europe. Its monopoly makes it harder for other businesses to compete, shapes what we see online, and means fewer choices for all of us.
Now it’s time for the EU to enforce its own ruling.
That’s why we’re emailing the European Commission officials responsible for competition and digital markets, including Commissioner Teresa Ribera and senior officials in charge of holding Google and Big Tech accountable.
By emailing them, we can strengthen the push for action inside the Commission and make further delay impossible to justify.
Some tips to make your message count:
- Add your name and say why you care about this issue.
- Keep it short and respectful - a few clear sentences are enough.
- Ask them to act: enforce the Commission’s ruling and break up Google’s ad tech monopoly.
- Make it yours: A personal message is the best way to truly have impact. Why does this issue matter to you?
Together, we can help turn the EU’s ruling into real action.
Thank you for everything you do.
