In your meeting next week, please aim for at least 90% net emissions reduction by 2040, based on domestic efforts.
It’s also important to set a clear 2035 intermediate target, aligned with the at least 90% net ambition for 2040, to guide progress and investments.
The EU should avoid relying on international carbon credits, which can undermine domestic action.
