Email EU civil servants shaping tomorrow’s decision
In Brussels, people from across Europe are protesting the EU’s complicity in Israel’s crimes outside the European Commission.
Since police have prevented people from speaking directly to EU staff about Israel’s genocide in Gaza, we’ll make sure those voices reach them anyway – right in their inboxes.
Suggested points to include:
- Start with: Dear EU officials,
- Express your outrage at Israel’s attacks on civilians and repeated violations of the ceasefire, and at the EU’s complicity through continued trade, arms exports, and political normalisation.
- Remind them that under Article 2 of the EU–Israel Association Agreement, cooperation must be suspended if one party commits serious breaches of human rights. That threshold has long been surpassed – as documented by all major human-rights organisations.
- Be clear in your ask: urge them to advise EU leaders to suspend the EU–Israel Association Agreement – the trade deal that enables and funds these crimes.
- Remind them that silence is complicity – and that citizens across Europe are watching how they use their power.
- Be respectful but firm: they are more likely to engage with a clear, civil message.
- Sign your name and where you’re writing from. It shows that real people across Europe are watching – and demanding accountability.
- Ask for a reply. Let them know you expect an answer – to show that they’ve heard you, and that citizens are paying attention.
Send your message now – before tomorrow’s meeting!
