Protect Greenland from Trump’s grip!

Why is this important?

Trump is charging ahead with his plan to buy Greenland - and threatening military action if their leaders refuse. [1]

Greenlanders have made one thing clear: their democracy is not for sale. [2] Yet White House staff are telling media outlets they’re “discussing an offer”. They’ve even hinted that refusing their deal could mean they take military action - just like they have in Venezuela and Iran. [3]

This is not just an insult to Europe’s democracy; it’s a direct threat to Greenland’s people. Local communities risk losing their voice and control over their future, alongside their lands, full of rare minerals and vital for the green transition. Under Trump’s agenda, the Arctic ecosystem faces destruction. [4]

After the latest developments, our decision-makers are no longer ignoring Trump’s plan. Eight European leaders signed a statement in solidarity with Greenlanders. [5] But words alone won’t protect Greenland. 

Now is the time for bold, decisive action to defend Greenland’s sovereignty and the Arctic’s future.

We demand the EU stand firm: defend Greenland’s sovereignty, protect the Arctic’s fragile environment, and safeguard democracy across Europe.
