Why is this important?
In Chiapas, Mexico, coffee farmers face an impossible choice: send their children to school or put food on the table. Instead of learning to read, many kids, as young as 5 years old, spend their days picking coffee berries for our morning cup of coffee. [1]
This injustice is happening on coffee farms around the world - including those selling to companies that proudly display “ethical” certifications. [2] These companies refuse to pay farmers a fair wage, trapping entire families in poverty and fueling child labor.
But you have the power to help end this abuse.
These coffee giants thrive on a feel-good image. They spend millions convincing consumers they’re ethical while turning a blind eye to child labor.
We’ve partnered with activists who know this industry inside out. They know which coffee companies are not used to pressure from people like us. When thousands of us shine a light on their “ethical” coffee scam—they’ll be forced to finally clean up their act.
Our coffee shouldn’t cost a childhood. Will you add your name and demand truly fair coffee?
