Don't back down from plans to cut European greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2040, in line with science.

Why is this important?

Families in Greece, Spain, and Portugal are fleeing their homes as walls of fire swallow forests, villages, and farmland. Communities choke on smoke, firefighters are pushed beyond their limits, and tourists escape beaches turned into evacuation zones. [1]

And while Europe burns, a far-right MEP calls the plan to cut Europe’s emissions by 90% “utter madness.” Yet he’s the one leading the negotiations. If we don’t stop him, he’ll destroy our best chance at a safe Europe. [2]

Right now, families are watching their homes go up in flames. And unless we act, every summer will bring worse fires, fiercer floods, and deadlier heatwaves. And our children will be left without a chance at a livable future.

When MEPs return from summer break in just two weeks, let’s flood the Parliament with a clear message: No rollback on climate action. No silence while Europe burns.

Together, we can stop the far-right from dismantling Europe’s best climate protections, before there is no way back.
