We call on the Italian Football Federation, UEFA, and FIFA to:

Cancel the Italy–Israel match on October 14, 2025
Ban Israel from international football until it complies with international law

Football is about respect, solidarity, and fairness. Not sports-washing genocide.

Why is this important?

In just weeks, Italy is set to play Israel in a football match to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

But this is not just another match.

As Israel carpet bombs Gaza, murders journalists and tens of thousands of Palestinian children, FIFA and football officials continue to allow them to play in Europe. Normalising war crimes and sending the message that Palestinian lives don’t count.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, it was banned from international football overnight. [1] International genocide scholars agree that Israel is committing a genocide. And yet the country still enjoys a free pass.[2]

Football is about respect, solidarity, and fairness. Not sports-washing genocide.

Join the movement calling for Israel to be banned from international football until it stops killing Palestinians, starting with the Italy-Israel match.

Together, we can show football authorities like FIFA that fans across Europe refuse to look the other way. Just like with Russia, we can make sure the beautiful game isn’t used to cover up war crimes.
