Say no to Trump’s trade deal
To the Members of the European Parliament
Petition
We call on the Members of the European Parliament to reject the EU-US trade deal under the current conditions. A new deal should:
- Ensure that the EU stays on track with the climate goals it has committed to and doesn’t agree to fossil gas imports from the US.
- Protect EU digital consumer rules and make sure US tech companies don’t misuse their market dominance.
If Commission President Ursula von der Leyen isn’t able to negotiate a deal that works for the people and the planet, we ask you to support a no-confidence vote in the European Parliament.
Why is this important?
Many people across Europe may be feeling like you do. A new survey proves what the majority of Europeans think: we don’t want Trump’s trade deal. [1]
And we’re right to resist. Trump’s trade pact would lock Europe into €700 billion worth of fossil gas — tying us to decades of pollution and climate damage. [2] It could also undermine the rules that protect consumers and rein in powerful corporations like Google. [3]
But Europe can do better. We can invest in clean, reliable energy instead of fossil fuels. We can protect people, not corporations. We can show the world that Europe stands for climate action, fairness, and democracy.
The good news: the deal isn’t a done deal.
The European Parliament still needs to approve it. Already, one of the biggest groups in Parliament is against it, and pressure is mounting on Commission President von der Leyen to change course. [4]
This is our moment to show Europe’s strength. By raising our voices now, we can push MEPs to reject this deal — and open the door for a Europe that invests in clean, reliable energy, protects people, and stands strong against bullies like Trump.
Tell your representatives today: Vote NO to Trump’s trade deal.
