Say No to Mass Deportations in Europe
To the European Council, the Council of the European Union, the European Parliament and the European Commission
Petition
All of us want to live in safety and contribute to the community we are from.
The European Commission’s new Deportation Regulation would tear families apart, expand detention, and turn migration into a business for private security and surveillance companies.
We call on the EU to choose care, dignity, and humanity - not fear and profit.
We urge you to:
- Reject the Deportation Regulation in its current form;
- Stop outsourcing migration control to private corporations and third countries;
- Invest in protection, inclusion, and safe pathways for people on the move.
Europe must stand for human rights, not human suffering.
Why is this important?
Millions of us are watching the scenes from the United States: agents dragging people out of their homes at dawn, tearing families apart on the street while neighbours freeze in shock. [1]
An entire country waking up to the sound of knocking - the kind that makes your stomach drop.
Now imagine that on your own street. This is the path Europe is preparing to take.
In 3 days, EU leaders will meet to sign off on the next phase of a plan lifted straight from Trump’s hardline agenda. A plan that would make it easier for governments to raid people’s homes, search their belongings and deport them to countries they’ve never set foot in. [2]
Our governments are pushing this fast. Hoping we stay quiet while they expand their power and blame newcomers for problems they refuse to solve.
But they’ve miscalculated.
Because this is exactly the moment when people like us step in - loudly. And when we do, they have no choice but to listen.
We can stop this. But only if we act now.
Stop Europe from adopting Trump-style raids and deportations: add your name!
