Petition
We call on President Ursula von der Leyen to take responsibility for her actions that undermine the founding principles of the European Union and to resign immediately from her position as President of the European Commission. We also urge the European Commission to uphold the EU’s core values of democracy, rule of law, and respect for member states in all its decisions.
Why is this important?
I am German, living in the European Union. I have always believed in the founding idea of the EU: a Europe built on cooperation, balance, and peace. Today, I am deeply concerned about the direction in which the Union is heading.
Under Ursula von der Leyen’s leadership, the EU has seen growing centralization, disregard for member states, and policies that undermine trust. The treatment of Hungary, unchecked migration management, and involvement in geopolitical conflicts like Ukraine show a pattern of decision-making detached from citizens’ concerns.
The EU should stand for democracy, balance, and cooperation – not coercion, ideology, or power concentration. Ursula von der Leyen is not preserving these values.
For the sake of Europe’s future, its citizens, and the founding principles of the Union, her resignation is necessary.
