A Europe where everyone belongs
The European Council and Council of the European Union
Petition
All of us want to live in safety and contribute to the community we are from.
The European Commission’s new Deportation Regulation would tear families apart, expand detention, and turn migration into a business for private security and surveillance companies.
We call on the EU to choose care, dignity, and humanity - not fear and profit.
We urge you to:
- Reject the Deportation Regulation in its current form;
- Stop outsourcing migration control to private corporations and third countries;
- Invest in protection, inclusion, and safe pathways for people on the move.
Europe must stand for human rights, not human suffering.
Why is this important?
Freddie Mercury is shining again on a giant London billboard with one blazing message: Thank God for immigrants. [1]
It’s a reminder that migration built the Europe we love - our nurses and doctors, our teachers and artists, our neighbours and friends.
And Spain is proving this every single day.
Right now, Spain is the fastest-growing major economy in the EU. And one of the reasons is because it’s chosen policies that try to make it easier for people moving to Spain to work, study and build a future together. [2]
But instead of learning from this success, the EU is heading in the opposite direction - pushing a new Deportation law inspired by the harsh, raid-driven model we see in Trump’s America. [3]
A model built on sending people to countries they’ve never known, expanding offshore detention camps, and encouraging racial profiling in our streets. [4]
And they’re trying to push it through quietly to avoid public attention - the vote is in just two weeks.
But they’ve miscalculated. When people speak up together, loudly, plans like these crumble.
Let’s defend the Europe we’re building every day - a Europe where families stay together and communities grow stronger. Sign the petition to stop this law!
