Boycott Trump's World Cup!

Why is this important?

There seems to be no red line Trump won’t cross. 

One day he’s threatening to invade Greenland. Next, he’s defending the murder of protesters by ICE agents. [1]

This summer the football World Cup will be co-hosted by the US, Canada and Mexico. 

But a country that attacks protesters and snatches innocent people off the streets cannot ensure the safety of players and fans. And supporters from countries on Trump’s travel ban list - like Iran and Haiti - won’t even be allowed to come and support their teams. [2]

There’s a relatively easy solution. Canada and Mexico are co-hosts. The matches planned for the US - including the big final - could and should be played there instead. 

Trump has shown time and again that he cares above all about image. And even if only a few countries join the boycott, it will be a huge embarrassment for him and a powerful, global rejection of his actions. 

The global football governing body, FIFA has the final say. But national football associations and the regional blocs that make up FIFA have huge power. [3] 

Together we can turn up the pressure on them to take a stand: boycott any matches played in the USA, unless they get moved. And ensure the World Cup is a place that welcomes all fans and players.
