❌ Secret courts to favor corporations? ❌

Why is this important?

A multi-millionaire oil-refining company is fighting hard to avoid paying its fair share.

If they paid the tax they owe, that money would go into lowering our households’ energy costs.  How can a company avoid the law? It’s easy: 

There are courts - invisible to most of us - that rule in favour of corporations. The company simply demands they be let off their duties, and a private lawyer grants their wishes. All behind closed doors. 

But across Europe people are waking up to this secret. 

We know that if enough of us learn about this, and take action, we can win. We’ve done it before. Last year, we opposed a treaty that let corporations sue countries for taking climate action. And we won!

But some of the worst companies still exploit this loophole to get what they want. 

Let’s be the roar that brings this scandal to the news. If we expose these secret courts we can get rid of them for good!
