Europe: Stand up against illegal war in Iran

We call on you to:
- Publicly call out the US and Israel’s war in Iran as illegal according to international law.
- Refuse to let the US use military bases in Europe for their attacks on Iran
Why is this important?
“We’re heading to World War III”. That’s a direct quote from a respected economist - a man not known to exaggerate. [1]
Trump and Netanyahu are carpet-bombing Tehran. A city of more than 10 million people. Over a hundred children were killed after a US bomb targeted their school. [2]
Europe is one of the few world powers strong enough to stand up to the US. And while people overwhelmingly do not want this war, our leaders look on. Scared of getting on Trump’s bad side. [3]
But there is hope. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has called the attacks on Iran what they are: a “reckless and illegal” war. He has even refused to let the US use military bases in Spain. [4]
Other European countries need to follow suit. Some leaders have shown signs of wanting to do so, but they need to hear from us, the public.
Together, let’s push our leaders to stand against Trump and Netanyahu’s illegal war - and refuse to let the US use military bases in Europe for their deadly attacks. For each day that the threat of world war is nearer, our silence has a greater cost.
