Europe: Stand up against illegal war in Iran

We call on you to:
- Publicly call out the US and Israel’s war in Iran as illegal according to international law
- Refuse to let the US use military bases in Europe or the UK for their attacks on Iran
Why is this important?
“We’re heading to World War III”. Those aren’t my words. That’s a direct quote from a respected economist - a man not known to exaggerate. [1]
US and Israel are carpet-bombing Teheran. A city of over 10 million people.[2] Over a hundred children are dead after a US bomb fell on their school. Trump and Netanyahu’s thirst for power is putting the lives, homes and safety of millions at risk.
Our leaders seem to mostly just look on, scared of getting on Trump’s bad side. But Europe is one of the few world powers big and strong enough to stand up to the US.
Spanish prime minister Pedro Sánchez has been celebrated for calling the attacks on Iran what they are: a “reckless and illegal” war. He has even refused to let the US use military bases in Spain. [3]
Other European countries need to follow suit. Across Europe, people overwhelmingly do not want this war. [4]
We can make our leaders hear this message: stand against Trump’s illegal war in Iran - and refuse to let the US use military bases in Europe for their deadly attacks.
