Fund Renewables, Not War
To the European Commission, European Parliament and Council of the European Union
Petition
We want a Europe that invests in peace, people, and the planet - not in war and fossil fuels.
Ordinary people shouldn’t pay the price while corporations and warmongers profit. Europe must stop funding illegal wars and instead invest in stable, homegrown renewable energy that protects households, communities, and our future.
Add your name to demand leaders choose peace and clean energy.
Why is this important?
Toxic rain falls from the sky. Black smoke fills the air. [1]
These aren’t scenes from a sci-fi movie. They’re scenes from Iran. Where Trump and Israel have started another war none of us want.
For every bomb dropped, innocent people pay the price with their lives. And then there are those who cash in.
Shell, Total, and warmongers like Trump. And it’s you and I who foot the bill with higher bills for energy, food and fuel across Europe. [2]
As long as Europe relies on foreign oil and gas tied to conflict, our energy costs will stay out of our control.
But there’s a solution. Europe can invest in stable, homegrown renewable energy. Even Europe's leaders, from Starmer to Von der Leyen who backpedalled on climate protections, are considering it. [3] These are tipping points when mass public pressure can make bold action possible.
EU leaders are meeting this week to decide how to respond to soaring prices. [4] Your voice can push them to choose clean, reliable energy over fossil fuels and price spikes.
Add your name to demand energy that is safe, affordable, and under our control - not dictated by conflicts thousands of miles away.
