Israel out of Eurovision!
To all Eurovision’s state broadcasters
Petition
Public broadcasters safeguard the credibility of the Eurovision Song Contest. Letting aggressors accused of genocide by the United Nations participate would undermine the values the festival claims to uphold.
We call on you, as members of the European Broadcasting Union, accountable to the public, to act with the same resolve shown in 2022 regarding Russia’s participation. Immediately announce you are ready to withdraw from the contest unless Israel is out.
Trust in Eurovision is at stake.
Why is this important?
In just 3 weeks, Israel will perform at Eurovision. They actually expect us to ignore their war crimes and celebrate their music.
Every week brings new reports about Israel’s cruelty. More Palestinians killed, starved, forced from their homes, and given death penalties. This is genocide. [1]
Our best-known European symbol should not be blood stained.
Broadcasters in Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Iceland say they will boycott if Israel is allowed in Eurovision. Without broadcasters, the festival collapses. [2]
More countries must commit to a boycott until Israel’s participation is banned.
Broadcasters are accountable to us by law. Massive Attack, Brian Eno, Sigur Rós and many more top artists have just called for them to boycott. [3] Now they need to hear from us in our thousands.
Take action so that our Europe, our Eurovision, is not stained with Israel’s crimes.
