Agree to make the sharing of vaccines, diagnostics and therapeutics compulsory for all member states as part of the Pandemic Agreement.

Why is this important?

Almost 200 countries are negotiating a once-in-a-generation deal to prevent another global catastrophe like COVID-19.

But right now, that chance is under threat.

Some of the richest countries in Europe are blocking the very measures that would make this historic pandemic agreement actually work.

Pandemics don’t stop at borders. Without mandatory sharing of vaccines, technology, and knowledge, the world risks repeating the same deadly mistakes.

Rich European countries like Germany and Switzerland are demanding it stays voluntary. They're desperate to protect their powerful pharmaceutical sectors.[1]

Right now we have a rare window to change their minds. On May 18th, governments will meet to finalise the agreement, and they’re under pressure to get it over the line. [2]

So far these negotiations have gone under the radar and no one’s more happy about that than Big Pharma. If we can build pressure before the meeting, it will be a huge public embarrassment for them to keep blocking progress.
