Europe cannot afford an AI race that leaves workers behind. As the EU reviews its AI rules, protections risk being weakened. Unchecked industrial AI will speed up automation and limit job opportunities. Without strong safeguards, we face fewer stable jobs, rising inequality, and millions having a hard time staying employed.
Protect and strengthen - not dilute - the AI Act. New rules must safeguard workers’ rights, job quality, and access to work. Europe’s digital future must create opportunities, not close the door on workers.
Why is this important?
Just last year, 100 000 people were fired because of artificial intelligence (AI). [1]
Instead of defending workers, politicians plan to weaken the rules that protect our jobs from AI - making it easier for companies to replace people. [2]
Millions of livelihoods are at risk: from management to manual jobs.
From drivers, shop attendants, teachers, designers, bankers, to office workers. [3]
Our leaders think we are not paying attention. That they can quietly strip away protections, unleash AI and boost corporate profits, while working people pay the price.
But they’re wrong. Because before decisions are made in the shadows, our community shows up.
When we show up in thousands across Europe, we put their decisions in the spotlight, and make it risky for them to choose corporate profits over our jobs.
