Stop Volkswagen’s dangerous new deal
To Volkswagen leadership, the German Government, the European Commission, European Parliament, and EU governments
Petition
Volkswagen wants to move from building cars to supplying systems used in warfare at its Osnabrück factory - and make billions from it.
The deal is not done yet. We call on Volkswagen to:
- Stop negotiations on this deadly deal immediately
- Rule out producing parts linked to Israeli military technology;
- Keep the Osnabrück site focused on civilian manufacturing;
- Publish full transparency on any talks with military contractors
Why is this important?
Volkswagen built its reputation making cars. Now they want to build war machines. [1]
Eight billion euros in profits isn’t enough - so they’re considering a deal that would put its factory floors to work for Israeli military technology. Building parts of the Iron Dome - a critical tool for Netanyahu’s war chest. [2]
Deadly air strikes. Unlawful use of white phosphorus in Lebanon. Children killed in Gaza. If Volkswagen agrees to this deal, they are complicit in genocide. [3]
The decision is not final yet - there is still a window to stop Volkswagen before it commits.
And we must. Because this deal goes beyond one company. If Volkswagen signs, it opens the door for other European companies to profit from war too.
Across Germany people are already fighting to stop companies from fuelling Israel’s war. [4] Now they need the rest of Europe behind them to stop Volkswagen before this dangerous deal goes ahead.
That’s why they need to hear from us. Before Europe’s biggest companies start treating war like another business opportunity.

[4] Almost 75% of all Germans support stricter controls on arms exports to Israel. More than half of the country opposes any kind of arms deliveries to Israel. Citizens have staged protests targeting companies supplying weapons to Israel, while politicians, trade union members, AND former Volkswagen workers have also launched public calls opposing a shift towards military production.
