Donald Trump claims Greenlanders want to join the U.S., but they’ve made one thing crystal clear: their democracy is not for sale. [1] Yet Trump is back, threatening Greenland’s autonomy, and even hinting at military force to seize the mineral-rich Arctic island. [2]

Greenland is under siege: its independence, resources, and fragile environment are at stake.

This is not just an insult to Europe’s democracy; it’s a direct threat to Greenland’s people. Indigenous communities risk losing their democracy alongside their lands, full of rare minerals and vital for the green transition. The fragile Arctic ecosystem faces destruction under Trump’s selfish agenda.

The EU must act now to defend Greenland’s sovereignty and the Arctic’s future.

Greenland’s leaders are calling for solidarity, and we must answer. The EU’s foreign policy chief has already pledged support. Countries like France, Germany, and the Nordics are stepping up to address Arctic security. But solidarity means nothing without action. Words alone won’t protect Greenland. [3]
