No EU Business with War Criminals

To the European Commission, the European Parliament, and European Member States
Petition
Israel’s government is starving Gaza; the European Union cannot be complicit in Israel’s grave violations of international law.
There can be no continuation of the EU-Israel Association Agreement while the Israeli government systematically bombs civilians and deliberately starves the population in Gaza.
Under Article 2 of the EU-Israel Association Agreement, cooperation must be suspended if one party commits serious breaches of human rights. That threshold has long been surpassed, as documented by all major human rights organisations.
We therefore urge the EU and its Member States to:
- Freeze ALL trade with Israel: Immediately suspend the the EU-Israel Association Agreement
- Stop ALL arms exports to Israel
- Impose sanctions on Israeli officials and settlers responsible for the blockade and mass atrocities across Palestine
Why is this important?
Children in Gaza are dying — not just from bombs, but from deliberate starvation.
The UN warns that 14,000 children in Gaza could die unless food and medicine are urgently allowed in. Parents are feeding their kids grass. Babies are dying of dehydration. [1]
Just on the Gaza border, 80,000 square meters of aid — food, formula, medical supplies — sit blocked in the desert. [2]
And Israeli ministers aren’t hiding it — they’re proud. Finance Minister Smotrich said: “The [aid] that will enter Gaza in the coming days is the tiniest amount. We are disassembling Gaza [...] And the world isn't stopping us.” [3]
But people around the world are pushing back – and finally our pressure is being felt. After months of silence, this week, even Israel’s closest allies in Europe demanded a review of the EU’s €47 billion trade deal — supposedly based on human rights and the aid blockade. [4]
This shift is only happening because people are protesting for it. But a review won’t save lives, so together we must push for more.
That’s why we’re calling on European leaders to take real action to stop financing Israel’s unprecedented war crimes, before more civilians starve: suspend the EU-Israel Association Agreement, the main treaty regulating all relations between the Eu and Israel, stop arms exports and sanction those driving the violence.
At the same time, the EU must continue to call for the urgent reinstatement of a ceasefire, the release of all hostages by Hamas and other armed actors, and an end to Israel’s aid blockade.
We’re close. Just one or two countries could tip the balance. Let’s make sure yours is one of them — tell Europe’s leaders where you stand.
